Eight national organizations that work in Hispanic ministry gathered in Birmingham, AL to dialogue, reflect, and pray on the V Encuentro
In March 2017 for several days in at St. Bernard’s Abbey in Birmingham, Alabama, the boards of directors of eight national organizations gathered in a pastoral consultation on the V Encuentro Nacional de Ministerio Hispano.
After an official welcome by the Most Rev. Robert J. Baker, Bishop of the Diocese of Birmingham, members of the boards of the (1) National Catholic Council for Hispanic Ministry, (2) National Catholic Association of Diocesan Directors of Hispanic Ministry (NCADDHM) (3) La Red National Catholic Network of Pastoral Juvenil Hispana, (4) Federación de Institutos Pastorales, (5) Asociación Nacional de Diáconos Hispanos de los Estados Unidos, (6) Federation for Catechesis with Hispanics Catequesis, (7) Asociación de Religiosas Hispanas en Estados Unidos, and (8) Catholic Migrant Farmworkers Network, spent two days in dialogue, reflection, and prayer and how we can work together to support the V Encuentro and each other in Pastoral de Conjunto.
In February 2018, the organizations will gather once again to continue their Pastoral de Conjunto work.
